How to use sop address:

Launch Sopcast.exe. Download it from here
Paste the entire address in address bar of sopcast player and hit enter. Typically the format of address is sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/40906
Wait for it to sync with other peers.
Click on right bottom round button (next to one that says "FS") to view feed in WMP.
This doesnt involve any ActiveX/IE
